WHEN:       POSTPONED.  STAY TUNED FOR NEW DATE.

WHERE:    Memorial Park (at the creek) or live online

WHO:        Music students, your friends and your family!
Who wouldn't want to be part of rubber duck race?!?!

WHY:         Something fun to do... and to raise money for
                    the music program!

PRIZES:
Cash Prizes!! We're taking 50% of the collected money, and giving it to the music department! We're taking the other half of the money and making it the prize money, with 50% going to the first place winner, 30% going to the second place winner, and 20% going to the "Best in Show".  As an example, let's say we sell 1000 race entries (500 at $10 and 600 at $5), there will be $8,000 total, and $4,000 in prize money available... so if one of your ducks wins first place, you'll win $2,000 in cash!! KACHING!!  And second place will win $1,200 and Best in Show will win $800.  We will also pay $20 to the last place duck, crossing the finish line without help.

COST TO ENTER:

$10 for the first duck your family registers.  Additional ducks are only $5 each.  Enter as many ducks as you want... the more ducks you race, the more chances to win! Get everyone in your house involved in the fun!

HOW DO I GET THE DUCKS?
Buy your rubber ducks online or from your favorite store.. Any size, any weight, any duck you like!  QMPO will also have standard small rubber ducks you can buy for $1 each during online registration.  We'll send them into school, or you can pick them up (Elementary students will have to pick them up).  But these are small and boring plain ducks available for sale just in case people can't find where to buy a duck.

HOW CAN I DECORATE / MODIFY MY DUCKS?
Any way you'd like, EXCEPT: no motorized, electronic, or mechanical modifications.  Any kind of motor, propeller or remote controlled device will be disqualified.  Paint and decorate them however you want (as long as it's appropriate for school).  Add a sail, a rudder, a pirate flag, a hat, fill it with sand, cut off the feet to make it more aerodynamic... whatever you want!  The only rule is it has to be able to cross the finish line without help...

HOW DO I REGISTER MY DUCKS?
We will re-open registration once we know the new date.

HOW DO I PAY?
You must register first!  Reference your registration number in the payment.  Due to COVID, everyone is encouraged to pay via Paypal (payments@qmpo.org) or by Venmo (@QMPO-payments).  Please choose "friend" if asked, and please only use accounts attached to a DEBIT CARD or BANK ACCOUNT.  You and QMPO will incur fees for credit cards.

If you attend school in person grades 6-12, you can alternatively bring in a check or cash and give it to your music teacher.   But digital payment as described above is preferred if possible.

DUCK PICKUP AND DROP OFF:
For elementary students or for any MS or HS students who are not physically in school, there will be a Drop Off / Pick Up box at 2460 Marshall Drive, Quakertown, PA 18951... by the front door.  Please do NOT ring the bell or knock... just drop off or pick up your bag.

If you've ordered ducks and you need to pick them up to decorate or modify them, they will be waiting in the box for you in a bag with your name on it.

If you need to drop off your ducks that are not being displayed at the MS and HS locations, you can drop off it to the box.  Please put your ducks in a paper bag, and write your registration number on the bag (so I know who's ducks they are).

HOW DOES A DUCK WIN "BEST IN SHOW"?
The QMPO Executive Board, along with our guest judges, will pick the best decorated duckie for this prize.  The judging will be on creativity, artistry, fun and function (it must be able to float to win).
